Missed the individual registration due date? Fearing an additional late fee? Don't worry, it's not too late! The individual registration form and deposit deadline has been extended to January 31, 2017. Only after this date will the $50 late fee be applied.
Hotel forms have now been posted under the "Forms" tab. The hotel form, room spreadsheet, and payment should be sent directly to the Doubletree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando. The cutoff for making reservations is February 6, 2017.
Due to a change in contact for the hotel, we are experiencing a delay in getting hotel forms together. They will be posted under the "Forms" tab and sent out to all the sponsors as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Forms for Congrès 2017 have been updated! Click the drop down menu on the left and scroll down to the Forms tab to access them. The School Registration Form (with $80 registration fee) and School Pledge are the first forms due on October 28th. We look forward to seeing you all this year!
I know you all must be getting pumped for next weekend. As a reminder, make sure you have submitted all fees and forms by the end of the week. Teachers, visit the Forms page to find copies of the sing-along lyrics packets and the conference program. It is suggested that you print some copies of the song lyrics and the program for your students. We will provide a few copies during the banquet and at registration.
Also, make sure your students know that the program is available under the More tab on the "2016 conference program" page. The page is still being built, so expect to see the program by the end of the week. Let us know if you have questions! Kriyana Reddy CCFF President The French Embassy in Miami has been a loyal supporter of Congrès for many years. In 2016, the Consulate will celebrate its 30th anniversary! We will be honoring the Embassy in conference handouts and programs. To learn more about the Embassy, visit http://www.consulfrance-miami.org/. Thank you to everyone at the Embassy for your continued support and for your annual scholarship opportunities!
September is almost here, and that means registration season is kicking into full gear! Are you looking for some publicity for your school French club? Do you want to recognize an accomplished student on this nationally viewed platform? Are you looking for ways to promote French language and culture? If you answered "yes" to any of these, try sending us some information for a blog post! CCFF loves to recognize the awesome things that French students are doing all over the state. Plus, we want to spread the word about cool things that are happening in the Francophone sphere. Got ideas? Send us a message using the website contact form!
Mesdames Audrey Irias and Loridia Urquiza, two of our Congrès teacher sponsors, will be presenting at the October FFLA Convention a methodology for establishing a French legacy in one's school by building a tradition of sending students to compete at Congrès.
This is a great development opportunity, especially for new teachers looking for some mentoring and guidance. If you're looking for more information, please contact the Exec. Board.
